Jonah
19 January 2025 - 9 February 2025
The fish is both what makes this story so “known” and what makes this story so “unknown” because the attention-grabbing fish can become a major distraction or even stumbling block that can keep us from reading the book or from appreciating it. As we take a careful, open look through the book of Jonah, we should all be able to agree that it’s a genius literary work that’s true message and aim is to be a convicting gut-punch of reality for you and me!

Episode List
1 · The Disobedient Dove
January 19, 2025 · Nate Harley
In this introduction and overview of Jonah, just with the first three verses and some revealing context, we can already learn a lot about who our Heavenly Father is, who Jonah is, and even who Jesus is! Are we willing to be challenged by what they reveal about us?
2 · The Senseless Sleeper
January 26, 2025 · Nate Harley
Before (or after) we laugh at the delusional Jonah, we should see if we can relate. What type of storm are you in? What do you think God wants to do through it? *Live Interpretation by Elizabeth Rey
3 · The Reluctant Rescuer
February 02, 2025 · Nate Harley
If the story of Jonah ended at the end of chapter three, it would have been a “happily-ever-after” ending with Jonah coming off as the sacrificial, repentant hero! Unfortunately, the book doesn’t end here and in light of getting to know the real Jonah in chapter four, we have to look back over chapters two and three with new eyes.
4 · The Pouting Partial Prophet
February 09, 2025 · Nate Harley
While out of all the chapters, Jonah is the most ridiculous in this last one, if we’re honest, out of all the chapters, Jonah is the most relatable in this one. How might the ending of Jonah motivate us to continue and finish our stories differently? *dubbed from Spanish by Nate Harley
