What is and why choose a Verse of the Year? It's a compass that shows us the north, that reminds us where we want to go. It's a flashlight that we need in a dark place that helps us remember what God is like and who He is. An inhaler for those emergency cases in which we cannot even breathe. A carabiner that helps us sustain ourselves and connect with God in prayer. It is a message of love that comes from God for you. "Your word is a lamp to my feet; it is a light on my path".
